Tree guy VENT

Ugh. We got the name of this guy to take down some trees in our yard. The recommendation was that he was good but was always busy. So we call this guy, make an appt. for him to give us an estimate. He missed the first appt. but shows up for the second. My DH meets with him and sets up an appt. to have the trees removed- 4 weeks later but DH liked the guy. Well, he was supposed to come this past Friday. He made the appt. with DH and said he would be here. I called at the beginning of the week to confirm and he said that it looked like it might rain during the week, and that he might have to reschedule. Fine. He was supposed to call back if he needed to reschedule.
Well, Friday comes and goes, my DH waits all day for this guy, he never shows and never calls. DH leaves a p*ssed message on his machine like 'I've been waiting, you said you be here, where are you?'. The guy calls back today...and get this- he leaves a message for DH saying that ' I don't know if you spoke to your wife last week but I told her that I might not make it- and if you want to reschedule for this week, let me know, although it might rain sometimes this week again'
Were we supposed to be psychic and KNOW that he wasn't going to show up because it rained a few days before? Friday was beautiful- we expected him to be there because we had not heard from him.
DH has to call him tomorrow- I don't want to even talk to this man anymore. What is it with some of these people? How do they make a living managing their business so poorly?

i know how you feel! We have a giant Pineapple Palm tree in my front yard, that we have been trying to sell forever. Well we finally found a landscaper to buy it and he comes once and then we spend the next several weeks trying to find out when they are coming by to get the tree, never pans out.
So we called a few more companys one shows up and was soo excited he signed a contract with us on the spot. Well that was a month ago. We had to turn away other offers due to the contract. We have yet to hear from him.

DH's cousin had these really tall palm trees in the front and the back of ther house. Well they sold the ones in the back and the guy said would you be interested in parting with the ones in the front. The price was right so they said yeah. Well a week goes by and they dont show to get the trees.
well shortly there after there was alot of family drama and it was forgtotten.
Then one morning DH's cousin awakes to the sound of these machines in his front yard.
He runs out and it's the tree guy getting ready to take down the trees. DH's cousin flags dwon the guy and screams what the f* are you doing?
The guy says you wanted to sell me the trees.
DH cousin says that was LAST YEAR!! The house is currently in contract we are moving in 2 weeks!! You cant cut them down!

I have no idea how these guys survive with the way they do business!!
