trial advice

trial advice

My wedding is a little over 7 months away...all these vendors are trying to get me to do trials now to book them (hair and makeup). This issue is that my skin won't be the same shade in May (I still have color from the summer) and my hair will be longer (if all goes well). So, it seems super early to do a trial and pick someone. But, my wedding is in May which is a busy time for weddings. Advice??

you have time. Most vendors just want money, practicality doesnt matter. the hair length may not be such a big deal when it comes to a trail because a few inches probably wont make a WHOLE lot of difference, but skin tone is a big thing. thats just my opinion though, follow your gut

I agree that the skin tone would probably make the more of a difference. If you don't want to do it yet, don't, wait until you feel more comfortable and not a waste. Your taste or ideas could change too so you don't want to finalize anything too early :)

i havent even started to think about that yet... if your real worried about time. you could go tan once or twice to get some color?

some good vendors do book up very quick - I know ***** seems to. If you can go and see someone where you can get a basic idea of how they do things (you're going to see a hair style no matter what color it is.)

I booked my vendors for November back in July. I was tan when I booked my makeup artist and I won't be tan in November, but I got an idea of what she could do and if we were on the same page.

My advice is if you have your heart set on a particular vendor, try to book them sooner than later, so you don't miss out!
