Trial run of DIY invitation

Just tried to use ribbon and rhinestone accent to see if I could make my own invitations. Didn't come out so great! LOL

I think if you added more to the invite and got a metallic paper, it can be good!

Also, dafont.com is an AMAZING resource for DIY projects! :)

I'm not but there is actually a family in my town with the same last name!! So weird since it's not a common name.

I think all you need to do is tweak it a bit, maybe add some more to the rest of the invite and try printing it on a sample of good cardstock. You'll be amazed at the difference it'll make!

ETA: Have you considered an invite kit? That way it'll have some design already on there and give you the base for the look of it. Then you could easily add the ribbon and rhinestone and I think it'd look amazing!

You should try layering it with another sheet of a metallic paper that color contrasts- to get it more pop.

Yes thats exactly what I was thinking. This was just a piece of paper the same size as an invite. I really was trying to see how the ribbon would work out. But I think i'm gonna leave it tp the professionals LOL
