Trial Run of Paul's Holiday Photos...

Okay, Shamma lit a flame under my butt today, so Mommy and Daddy took some pics of Paul in his festive attire, hoping to get a pic worthy of a holiday card!

These are just the digital ones....Daddy took some other shots with the fancy lens and 35mm, so I hope those come out better!

While I'm at it...Paul's been doing so many new things lately. He's LOVING music more and more each day, and he actually sings to me! He throws his arms up in the air in real Broadway style and belts out a few notes - it's hysterical to see him do this! He is obsessed with 'singing' into the empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls, and he's nearly beat his LeapFrog learning drum to death! So I've signed him up for Half Notes class at Gymboree this winter. It starts the first week in January and I cannot wait to see how he likes it!

He's chatting up a storm and trying to say new words everyday. Tonight he pointed to Blue (the dog from Blue's Clues) on his plate and said, 'Bluh' This afternoon he tried to say cookies, but it came out more like 'kies' I LOVE THIS! Seeing his vocabulary develop is thrilling. I remember being worried a couple of months ago, but he's really made some huge advances.

He knows practically every part of his body and can point to it when you ask him....the doctor says this is advanced, b/c most kids his age might only know one or two body parts. I mean, the kid KNOWS where his ELBOW is!

We have started to SPELL things out in my house b/c he's catching on VERY fast! I didn't think this day would come so soon! I still feel like it's all going much too fast, but I am trying my best to enjoy every single second. My Mom keeps reminding me that he's still 'small' so I should take my time and not think ahead too much! (Mom, I'm trying!)

I hate (I really LOVE) getting those emails from I think parentsplace.com? The ones that tell you 'where they should be' as far s progress. Well I get a little upset, because they say 'YOUR TODDLER THIS WEEK' now, they no longer say *infant*


John Anthony has been calling his cousin Massimo lately, sounds more like MA-DEE-MAH.. and asks me for milk says 'TATTE' (rhymes with LATTE)...
He's a little person.

we tried taking holiday pics of julianne and they came out horribly...out of 35 digi pics maybe ONE is salvagible..and it would need a lot of touch up.
She was more interested in eating pieces off the tiny tree I put near her...and lunging for the camera.

We will try again this weekend...trouble is finding a place to sit her ...that looks FESTIVE!
the firplace won't do as she is so tiny- you cant see it anyway!

What a cutie. Sweater.vests.on.babies.are.too.cute!! He looks like a little investment banker - really adorable.

PS: A tip for the mommies wanting to take photos - you will almost always get better photos if you take them outside or right near a sunny window WITHOUT FLASH. Being inside or using a flash creates very unnatural skin tones and washes out the vibrant colors.

whooohooo Look at that handsome face, you can use anyone of those gawjus ones, please send me one too, to brighten my day. Especially on days when there is no sun.
