going for my makeup trial next wk...do you tip? if so, how much??? im clueless lol

I tipped $10 for each $50 trial (I had 3 makeup trials w/different m/u artists) but I don't think it's expected. Several of my friends went to their makeup trials and two didn't tip, especially if the artist was also the owner of her own business.
