Tried on my dress that came in.... ended in panic attack
Good new is i tried on my dress that came in about a month a go. i have been stressing over the color becuase in the store i was told diamond white and when we went to order i said just like the sample.. well turns out sample was a slight ivory. Dress fit wonderful.. i love it and stomach dropped and i broke down in tears. I love it so much i felt like a princess. Here is where the panic attack happens... turns out that my bridesmaid dress is royal blue with white trim along top and down the back... is this gonna make my dress look dirty. then the flower girl dresses are being hand made in ireland by family and i told them to make them diamond white because that is what i was told my dress color was. Long story short... it is too late to change bridesmaid dress they are due to arrive march 23. i am so scared... i dont want to look dirty. i will update with a pic of there dress. Has anyone had this diliema or have a solution.
Updated: this is a picture of the bridesmaid dress to give you an idea of how much white i am talking about

I think everything will look fine. Only us brides can really tell the difference between white/diamond white/light ivory...to be honest- I still can't tell the difference!

this is true lol!!! it's just an accent on the BM dresses, so it shouldn't be too noticeable.

i don't think it will matter, it won't look dirty. You will just be noticed in a pretty color.

Can you post a picture of your dress? Some light ivories don't look ivory at all..even those BM dresses don't appear stark white either..I think it wont be noticable..

the difference would be a lot more noticeable in person holding the 2 fabrics against each other. in pictures you will not be able to tell - besides the bulk of the white on the BM dresses is in the back and there won't be pics of your BMs posing with you with their butts to the camera!

You might notice the difference, but nobody else will. There is just a SLIGHT difference b/w white and diamond white. Don't even stress about it.

I think you'll be ok. My dress is diamond white and the flower girls dress is white. You can't really tell the difference. I doubt that a diamond white flowergirl dress will make your dress look dirty even though its slightly ivory.

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if your dress was white, it wouldn't be the same exact white as your BM's because it is probably diff material. Nobody is even going to notice the diff colors -- they are all going to be looking at how beautiful you look! Trust me, you'll be fine.

Don't worry! Your dress will not look dirty!! I'm wearing diamond white, and when FH and I went to the Tux place the guy told me, if the groom decides to wear white it will make my dress more white, if he wears Ivory my dress will look more ivory. Diamond white can go both ways. So I wouldn't worry about it Only us brides think of these things!

I very much doubt it will look dirty! Ivory is a HUGE popular color for brides!!! Don't worry you will look great! XOXO Kitty

Don't worry! The BM dress has very little white in it anyway. You'll be the star of the night and I doubt anyone will even notice the trim on the BM dress.

I don't think that your dress will look dirty. A lot of people can't tell between ivory and white. Plus there is so little white on the BMs' dresses that the blue will stand out more than the white. All eyes will be on you so don't panic just enjoy.

Don't stress at all! No one in their right mind is going to think your dress is dirty. Times have changed and not everyone wears a screaming white gown on their wedding.
My dress is ivory with a light gold lace over-lay and my BM's are in a light champagne. I gave FH a swatch of my gown and a swatch of the BM's to go with his GM's to the tux place. He needed me to mark which swatch was mine and which swatch was the BM's bc they look so similar.
