Well...I didn't lose the ten pounds. It's a teensy bit tight. Also, I didn't try on this exact gown, I tried on a similar Casablanca gown for size, so that made a bit of a difference. It needs to be let out a little bit. So keep in mind in the photo the gown isn't actually zipped up all the way in the back, so I look fatter than I will. It zipped, but we didn't want to risk ripping it, so we left the zip down a bit. Later the assistant suggested I take off my merry widow, that it was taking up too much space. So I tried that, and it zipped right up! We may put some cups in, but to be honest, that gown was holding my boobs up better than most of my bras. Still had a little bit of back fat, though, so it will still get let out. That's all it needs, plus steaming and pressing. It looked gorgeous with my shoes, I'm SO happy. Everyone admired my shoes. I just wish I could put a bit dot on my head, I look so bad in that picture. I got poured on coming home from the train--had to walk several blocks without an umbrella as I had no idea it was going to rain, and my FH wasn't home to pick me up. And I'm exhausted. So, keep in mind I'm not that hideous normally, OK? Nor that fat.
OK, had to resize, let's try again...

Thanks. I know I'm very hard on myself! Thing is, I used to be really heavy, I lost over 125 pounds five years ago, so I'm very conscious of my weight. I'm actually about ten or fifteen pounds over my lowest weight of last year and the year before. I'm a runner, but I've had to cut way back on my mileage as I've been ill the last year. So I've put on some weight. I need to lose it, I just haven't had the energy. And I've been happy--it's much harder to lose weight when you're happy and in love! My FH has put on weight too.
Sorry about your shoes. I had on my lovely new pink Chuck Taylors, and those are terrible in the rain, they got soaked.

Posted by milana I agree the detail on the bottom is so pretty! It looks amazing on you even though its not your size!
It is my size, it just needs to be let out a little. I wish my mom had taken pictures once it was zipped up without the merry widow, it made me look SO much slimmer, especially with my boobs up where they're supposed to be.
But thanks! And I love the detail on the bottom, too. It looks great with my sparkly shoes. See, all those people said 'no one sees your shoes' but you CAN see my shoes! My dress hast that very flat front so the shoes come out when I walk.
Hmmm--they didn't suggest a slip. I guess I don't need one, it did have a lot of 'stuff' under there...or do I need a slip?
I think you look very slim in this dress and could only imagine how perfect of an hourglass figure its going to give you once its let out a little. It so slimming i love it!
I agree with you about the shoes, everyone says you cant see them, but youre right people do see them!
Have you tried your dress on with a slip yet? If not maybe you can next time so you can see if you like the skirt to be a bit fuller or you like it as is. Since it has so many layers maybe you really dont need one, its a personal preferance i guess. Some girls like a full look to their dress.
