Hi Guys:

For those who are planning their hms I would highly recommend going on www.tripadvisor.com. Dont worry I am not affiliated with them in any way, lol! I just love the site. You can look up locations and reviews on all the hotels in that area. You can also see actual traveler pics (instead of the glossy professional hotel ones on expedia) and read reviews of people that have actually stayed there.

I almost booked a vacation to the DR through expedia. I wound up going on tripadvisor (you cant book through them - they are purely for research) and saw traveler's pics of that hotel with mold in the pool and the rooms! Now I go on there for all my vacas. There are also boards where you can post questions that will be answered by regional experts and other travelers.

Hope that helps! Wouldnt want you guys swimming in a moldy pool!

I looooooooooove Trip Advisor. It was my bible when I was planning our honeymoon.

Tripadvisor totally helped me book our honeymoon (and last year's spring break trip!)! I love it too!

That website is WONDERFUL. I check it out before all my trips. A word of caution...people are always unhappy about SOMETHING. (the pictures are a great resource though & it's a good way to assure you have retribution when the hotel gives you less than what you'd expect) :)

I second that! You should go by the overall feeling of the posted reviews and not let the one cranky traveler scare you.

I'm always on the site - it's fantastic!!! You get a nice range of people who were pleased, and people who were not.

I LOVE tripadvisor. My FH thinks I'm insane bc I read that site like the Bible! I haven't booked a vacation in 6 yrs without it!
