tripadvisor vent

So has anyone gone on the tripadvisor forum? Well it's nothing like here. If you ask a question the regulars feel is stupid they all jump down the askers throat like you should have searched theres already a million posts about that. The next day someone might ask the same question and get nice answers. A forum is there to help and discuss why be part of it if you are going to be critical. Then god forbid you want to swim with the dolphins, sharks or any other kinds of sea life some activists will go crazy on you and thats the wild sea life god forbid you actually want to swim with some swim life in a captive enviroment, you might start a forum riot. I seldomly ask a question on there because i dont want them all jumping down my throat.

Today they were all talking about some needle in Maui not a clue what it was I have read like 5 hawaii books and have helped others out with their trips and have done extensive internet search god forbid i didn't know about the needle. Noone will tell me what it is. They say I should buy Hawaii for Dummies, they say don;t mind the title it;s a good book for people first coming to Hawaiil. Now instead of being a nice forumgoer and explainging they have to make a mockery of some people.

Anyway thank god for liw and the amazing girls that are on this site.

I totally agree with you about Trip Advisor. I like to read the reviews but the forum people do get nasty.


As far as the Io Needle goes - it's a state park in Maui - good hiking. Of course, it being Hawaii, there is some symbolism to it, but I forget exactly what. Not a whole lot to do, but it's not a far drive at all from the Hyatt and something to do. It is very pretty and there's no charge.
