Trunk Sales

you don't get invited. You just make an appointment at the bridal store that is having the trunk sale and thats all. Its like any other regular day you go dress shopping. The only difference is that a particular designer is having a trunk sale that day, and usually that designer is there. If you just happen to buy this designers dress that day you get 10-15% off the dress.

I happen to go during a trunk sale, but i had plans to make an appointment for that day no matter what. I just tried on dresses just like anybody would on any given day at this store. This trunk sale that day was a Reem Acra trunk sale, i did try on one of her dresses since I saw one out on display that i liked. Once i came out with the dress on, the salesperson had one of reem acra's representatives just come over and say hello to me thats all, just explained a little bit about the dress and said if i had any questions to feel free to ask her and then she went on to other brides. It was the first dress I tried on, and then after the other dresses i tried on were not reem acra so i just went on trying on dresses. I didnt purchase the reem acra that day, i went with a different designer. But anybody who did buy a reem acra, i am sure the representative would've come back and talked some more

I went to Kleinfelds, and they have trunk sales ALL the time, seems like almost every weekend. So when you first go to their site on their homepage it shows which trunk sale they are having that weekend. But they also have a calendar of all upcoming trunk shows.

I am sure most stores have this info on their site or you can just call and ask about upcoming trunk shows.

I went to a trunk show at Demetrios Bridal Salon at Macy's Smith Haven. It was the 3rd place I went to to try on dresses and I bought my dress that day...I got 15% off plus they let me pop a balloon for a discount on my tiara and veil I found out about it from an ad in Newsday, and made an appt to go. Basically it's exactly what Espo said, sometimes the designer is there to inroduce the new wedding gowns and if you buy your dress that day you receive a discount on it.

I found out about them just by going to the salon's website. i was going to make an appt anyways and saw there was a trunk sale. its even better!

i went to a trunk show this past weekend. and i ended up buying my gown. so beautiful. the 09 styles are so NICE!!!

and yes i got 15% off my gown and veil.

i went to two trunk shows. one at demetrios bridal salon and the other at bridals reflections.

i didn't care for bridal reflections all that much. not sure if the people were off that day- but didnt' get the customer service i received at demetrios salon.
