Anyone ever been to a trunk show? What actually goes on at the show? There is one this weekend in NY City for Alvina Valenta...an amazing designer that I'd like to go to.
What are your thoughts?

DO it. What do you have to loose??
I think the designers are usually there and they tell you what they think looks good on you. They usually offer a special discount if you order your dress at the show..

A trunk show is usually a preview of the designer's newest dresses. A trunk show this weekend would probably be for the designer's Fall 2004 line. There is usually a discount (approx. 10%).
