Never been to one, but a trunk show is when a designer comes to a store with the new dresses from that season. Most of the new dresses should be at the trunk show.

Re: Trunk show
I'm actually going to a Lazaro trunk show next weekend and it's my first one. From what I've heard at a trunk show u basically make an appointment with the designer or a rep of the designer and u get a set amount of time with them. they bring their latest line of dresses for u to try on and I think if u actually end up buying one on the spot u get a trunk show discount.

Re: Trunk show
I bought my Eve of Milady Gown from a trunk show. You get a sneak peek into the upcoming year's dresses & also get a discount if you order a gown that day.

that's pretty cool if you get time with the actual designer. I would love to go to a trunk show, butI haven't been dress shopping yet and would feel nervous if that was my 1st time trying on dresses and I bought one without trying others on besides what is offered there

Re: Trunk show
I went to a Priscilla of Boston Trunk show and they offered a 10% discount. I did fall in love with one dress but it is still so early for me and that was my 1st chance to look at gowns. I will be going to the Amsale trunk show at bridal salon of manhasset in march. I wonder what their disount will be.

Re: Trunk show
I went to a Jim Hjelm trunk show - they bring all the new dresses from the line (most stores will only carry some of the dresses) and you get a discount.
