Trunk show?

I seriously feel so dumb when it comes to dress shopping.

What exactly is a trunk show? I know that they have all of those designers dresses there... right? Do they do like a fashion show with the dresses? Can you try them on or just look at them? Are they cheaper then?

I don't think it is a fashion show. I think you can try them on. And I believe they are cheaper.
But I have never been to one so don't take my word for it

they present the new seasons line of dresses, i dunno if they do a 'fashion show' but yes if you put your down payment on that designers gown during a trunk show they take anywhere from 10-20% off the price. i think they have a rep from the designer there to talk about the dresses also....and yes you can try them on, and you absolutely are not a moron!!!...hth!

A trunk show is when the designer presents his/her new collection. Brides make an appt to try on gowns and if they purchase they receive a percentage off the gown. I think it's about 15%off.

trunk shows are when the designer is there and shows off the new collection. The dresses arent any cheaper, if anyhting they are expensive becuase they just came out. I think it depends on the store if you can try them on, but I woudl assume so since they want you to purchase the new gowns.

For example, Kleinfelds is having an Anne Berge (sp?) Sunday the 13 ... so Anne will be there to show off her new stuff
