It's showing the latest line from that designer. You usually do get a discount if you buy it that day.

I got my dress at a trunk show and got about 10% off
I got my Ysa Makino at the Bridal Reflections trunk show and got 12% off. But I added a bunch of extras, so it balanced out!
Yeah they usually discount trunk shows. I purchased mine the day of a trunk show and received 12% off
Just make sure to shop around and know your prices. I loved the Maggie Sottero Bernadette, normally $1649, and one shop was willing to sell it to me for $1400. A few weeks later at the same shop, there was a Maggie trunk show with a 10% discount, which would've been only $164.90 discount.
I bought my dress at a Macy's trunk show. They gave me 15% off my dress & 50% off my veil. I took my BM's back during another trunk show and they received 15% + $10.00 off their dresses. Good luck!
