Well, I just want to look at dresses and I have decided to go to the Demetrios Trunk show at MAcys MAnhasset on April 14th.

how does a trunk show work...?
do i bring the styles (style numbers, etc) i like?

sometimes the designer is there or a rep. from the company otherwise , they discount the dresses
i went to one about a month ago and got a percentage off of my gown since the company does not discount them and threatens to pull their line out of a store if they find out they have reduced the price ETA: basically they are showcasing a specific designer
sometimes they also have sample sales

Oh my god, I love Demetrios gowns. I bought mine from there 2 months ago. I am sure you could find something you love, they have soo many different styles, Good Luck

yeah i have two friends who got really good deals at trunk shows. one from demetriuos and one was reem acra! GOod luck! they have beautiful dresses there!

they give discounts during trunk shows! if you purchase during one. that's how i'm going to buy mine eventually. they take a lot off. some take up to $1000 off. you should try to make an appoitment last trunk show I went to was a mad house.

i got my dress during a trunk show.... i went to kleinfelds one day and fell in love with it....then i went back 2 days later to buy and it happened to be during her trunk show...there was really no difference, the appointments are the same, i just received a 12.5% discount which was awesome.... lol i originally thought a trunk show meant that there were limited dresses andd u have to deal with whatever they have available lol thats my experience so im assuming other stores may be similar.... hope this helps di!

Yeah kleinfelds has a trunk show every weekend, so definitely check out their schedule and see which one is coming up...Last weekend when i went it was a reem acra trunk show...it was a regular appointment, and i did try on a reem acra gown. The designer wasnt there this time, they usually are, but she had other representatives and one of them came over when i was trying on my dress to see if i have any questions and to talk to me.
