Trunk Shows

Hi Ladies.. I need some help.. OK.. So I am really confused..

I am going to my first trunk show next Sunday and I need to understand how it works.. I know that they said they have the dresses in stock that are 20-70% off (and I would die if the dress I was looking at was 70% off )

But how does it work?? if you find a dress you like, are you buying the SAMPLE?? or are they ordering you a new dress.. I just want to make sure that I am getting a crisp, clean dress in excellent condition..

If you girls can give me some insight, I would really appreciate it!!

not sure, you should call the shop & ask them before hand.. I know the newer styles are 20% but if your saying 70% it may be the samples or last years styles but are new....

Hi there;
I believe you would be ordering a dress and you would get whatever the percentage is that would be off. I went to an Alfred Angelo one and it was only like 20%, but I did not like dress so I did not get it.

I went to an Anne Barge Trunk show. You get a percentage off the dress. They order the dress 'new' for you. I got the dress I liked and got 25% off. The thing is that if you want the discount you MUST buy the dress that day. So make sure that is the dress of your dreams!!! There are no returns!!!

well trunk shows and sample sales are different....sample sales are usually 70 percent off and they are the styles they are trying to get rid of .....trunk shows are the styles that are not out yet and they are trying to promote......i got my dress at a trunk show at Kleinfeld and i recieved only 10 % off

I got mine at a trunk show at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset and only got 13% off. No clue why they gave me such a weird number but every bit helps I guess.
You must order the dress the day of the show to get the discount. All the dresses from the new line of that designer will be at the store for you to try on.

yeah they oginally were going to give me 15% off but I got the shoes, veil and head piece there as well so they gave me 25% off for everything. Like you said 'every little bit does count!!'

yup this is true...i also went to Kleinfelds for a trunk show because the designer that I liked was there with the new styles for this fall. she was giving 12.5% off

the worst thing about the trunk show is that you have to wait so long to see the dress again!!!!!
