Trunk Shows?

I fell in love with a wedding dress and found out that the designer is having a trunk show this week but I'm not sure what it is exactly.

I know that the designer brings samples and stuff to show but are you able to order through them if they don't have your size on hand? Do they offer big discounts? Is it even worth going or should I just order the dress from the store where I tried it on?

ABSOLUTELY order from a trunk show if you can. I got my dress at the Kenneth Pool trunk show at Kleinfelds. They really just pull all of the samples they have from the designer to the front and display them. Then the designer is there as well. I got 12% off the dress for ordering it that day. And when you order it, it is like buying any other dress...you can make any changes you would like. They are still making your dress....you do not buy the sample.
