at the risk of sounding naive, what is a trunk show exactly? i know a sample sale is when you buy the designer gowns that people try on, but why are gowns discounted @ trunk shows?
more importantly, is it possible to also get designer BM gowns @ trunk shows/ sample sales, or are those events usually centered around bridal gowns? TIA

Re: trunk shows
a trunk show simply means that the particular day you are shopping for your dress, a certain designer will have their 'trunk show' there, theres no actual show or anything like that or anything special for that matter lol. THe designer is usually there, or if the designer cant make it they send someone else from their company to represent them. You would try on dresses like you normally would and if you happen to buy that designers dress that day, you get 15% off and the designer comes over and will talk to you about the dress. It will be a brand new made to order dress
i havent really seen bm trunk shows, im sure there might be but usually it'll be an expensive designer to begin with.
If you are looking to get a deal on bm dresses, i recommend rk bridal, they match the lowest price you find elsewhere. BUt they also have a no frills programs, thats how i got my bm dresses, if you do no frills they give you a form for that designer and you fill it out and either fax it to RK or give it to them while youre there, and they give a huge discount on each dress, my girls got over $80 off each dress. They deliver it to wherever you want, but the catch is you dont get alterations done there
