It's where they showcase all the dresses from one specific designer. Most often they will offer a discount (10%) if you buy one of the dresses showcased from that designer.

Re: Trunk Shows?
Are they current designs or 'leftovers' - trying to make room for the new season? Are they samples - where you have to buy that size?
Thanks!

Re: Trunk Shows?
They are not samples or leftovers. All it does is allow a store to showcase dresses from one particular designer for a short time period. It doesn't mean you have to buy that designer's dress when you go to the store.
Alot of times they have dresses that if you went any other time of the year might not be available at the store. Either the designer or a representative from the company is usually there. Usually you get a slight discount because they want to promote the particular designer. It's worth going if there is a particular designer's gowns that you like.

Re: Trunk Shows?
Thanks Jess...Michelle Roth is having a Sample Sale next week...Now I'm thinking 'Sample Sale' isn't the same as 'Trunk Sale'?? Anyway...I was curious just in general. Thanks!!

Re: Trunk Shows?
No problemo! Sample sale I think you have to get the actual dress you try on, where as in a trunk show is just like ordering a dress regularly where it comes in a few months after they take your measurements, etc. Good luck! Hope you find something you like!
