I know they usually take off 10%, but come on, won't most places take off at least 10% on any given day??? (Obviously I love me some haggling!!! LOL!)
Can I get them to take 10% the 10% off price?
Has anyone gotten an amazing deal at a trunk show? (Not on a discontinued, damaged, off the rack kinda dress, but a dress they ordered for you in your size.)

I actually did!! I bought my dress at bridal reflections in massapequa I don't believe they ever discount but they were going to have a trunk show for the designer of the dress i wanted a week later and i was able to get %15 off my dress and veil.

I thought the same thing, I went to a trunk show for the sale, but ended up going with a different designer and they still gave me the 10% discount on the gown.

I got my dress at a trunk show. I got to meet the designer, who agreed to customize the dress for me. I also got a discount and no charge for the hollow to hem measurement.

I think it depends on the salon a lot. I got my dress at a trunk show and I got a 10% discount that I don't think they would have given otherwise. There are a few other perks to the trunk show - I will get 10% off my veil and my undergarments, which they will help me choose to wear under my dress. They also did a 'split-size' for me for free. I'm smaller on top than I am on bottom (hehe) so they ordered them in two different sizes and took custom measurements - basically the dress is being made especially for me. I also managed to get free alterations. They are very willing to work with you during trunk shows and the designer's rep (if not the designer themself) is there to really talk to you and help you in the process. HTH

this is what happened to me....i went in, not knowing there was a trunk show going on.....got 10% off my dress.....and it wasn't the designers dress they were having the show for!
