Trunk Shows/negotiable??

Hello,

I was curious to see if a bridal salon would offer the trunk show price, even if the dress was purchased not during a trunk show. Is dress buying at all negotiable?

At the bridal shop I worked at, it was always negotaible... Alot of places won't give a special price, but this place usually will... If you go there and you are trying on an expensive dress and you turn around and say 'oh I love it but it's over budget', they will usually work on the price a little bit (maybe 5 or 10%)... Its worth a try because I know alot of girls who got special prices from there.. Especially when you can act If you bring your BP there too for dresses, I am sure they canm do something on the price... I'm not sure how far away from it you are, but if it's on the closer side, I would give it a try.. Its called Fontana and it's in Scarsdale (Westchester County).. Here's a link:

Fontana

Most bridal salons don't do this, but they are VERY ritzy so they can afford a 10% discount Let me know if you go!

FM me for more tips if you do want to go there!!

P.S. They have trunk shows almost every weekend and they offer 10% off at them... Most of the time, the designer is there too.

I don't know if this is true for everyone but In my experience they aren't negotiable. I went to David's Bridal, Bridal Suite in Bay Shore, and Demetrios in Macy's and the dresses were not negtotiable...I bought my dress at Demetrios during a trunk show and rec'd 15% off my dress, tiara and veil You can always ask and try but they seem to be like any other retailer- the price on the ticket is the price unless they are having a sale....sorry

Well you're usually getting some type of discount at a trunk show anyway, so I'm guessing there won't be too much wiggle room in terms of pricing.

I think you'd have more luck with a sample sale if you're looking for big discounts.
