TRY THIS, IT IS WILD!!!!

This just bugged me out, I did this and it came up with my home phone number.. you just have to remember to hit equals after each transaction.. and you will see your home number..

1- KEY-IN THE 1ST THREE DIGIT OF YOUR HOME PHONE # INTO THE CALCULATOR .(w/out area code)
2- MULTIPLY BY 80 =
3- PLUS 1 =
4- MULTIPLY BY 250 =
5- PLUS LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR HOME PHONE # =
6- PLUS LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR HOME PHONE # AGAIN =
7- MINUS 250 =
8- DIVIDE BY 2 =

SEE YOUR HOME PHONE AT CALCULATOR??

Can someone tell me why it worked??

Shamma I know how it works:

When you multiply by 80 and then again by 250 and then divide by 2, the net effect is the multiplication by 10,000.

When you add 1 and multiply it by 250 and then substract the same 250, net is 0

Then you add 2 times the last four digits of the # and then you divide by two, so the net effect is the last four digits of your phone #.

What you have essentially done on your calculator is taken 123 multiplied it by 10,000, and then added 4567 digit of the phone #.

Does that make sense or did I confuse you even more?

If you write it down with proper parenthesis, it will be more obvious

Is this easier to see for you:

[(123 * 80) + 1] * 250 + 2 * 4567 - 250

And then the whole thing divided by 2.

You can see where things cancel each other...

I didn't mean to confuse anyone, I actually found this to be fun

Alina, I got it, I ran the tape and looked at it on the calculator and you are right.

I noticed that my number ex 123 - 4567 kept coming up and never leaving the sequence

Alina you could literally drill that into my brain, tattoo it in my eyelid and I still wouldnt understand it. I have NO head for math, never did, its only by the grace of God that I passed math in HS (the one freakin class I needed),
