trying not to think about the weather...

trying not to think about the weather...

weather.com says rain for 7 of the next 9 days! (including 30% chance of rain on 8/17)

accuweather says possibility of rain for 3 of the next 14 days.... no rain on 8/17.

i KNOW the weather reports arent always accurate but it's crazy to see them differ by so much. hoping accuweather is right!

i obsessed over the weather also (wait until u can check the hour by hour i stalked that like every 10 mins to see if it changed lol) and there were crazy storms in some areas but somehow the rain stayed away from me and i actually got sunny beautiful pics...some of my friends lost power in their areas and actually showered in the dark to come to my wedding so i really dont know how i got so lucky..but cross your fingers and just pray for no rain bc somehow it worked for me!!!!!

OMG, yesterday it downpoured with thunder and lightning when I was in Rockville Centre and didn't let up all the way to Suffolk. When I hit Babylon the sun was shining! So weird. I'm sure I will stress over it too. But I'm also sure it will change from now and next week.

i wouldnt worry.. weather changes in an instant, the forecast can say thunderstorms but its sunny all day and doesnt thunder until midnight. Dont stress yourself over it.

thats very true! and I don't even care about the weather that much..because its something I have absolutely NO control over..so i figure whats the sense of getting stressed over something I can't change..I just hope I can get pics outside!

Re: trying not to think about the weather...

I had my eparty last weekend (in my parents backyard). Every channel we turned to and every website we looked at said there was going to be severe thunderstorms...but I had hope that it would be a typical summer storm (coming and going). My mom wasn't so optimistic. She started planning to have all the food and everything inside. It did downpour...if you remember...but as guests started arriving, the sun started coming out. I keep saying that my guests brought me the sunshine :) It turned out to be a beautiful day and we were able to eat outside.

So, don't worry about what the weather says...most summer storms come and go. They usually don't last all day. Always be optimistic...but def. be prepared for the worst. I will keep my fingers crossed for you on that day (although I'll be in Puerto Rico). Plus...you can't really judge what the weather will be this far in advance. The weather forecast said blue skies about 5 days before, so we booked for a tent in our backyard. Then, the next day it said torrential downpours. Weather changes easily and depending on which direction the wind is blowing...it could totally miss you! GL! I'm sure the weather will be fine! Lets pray for a day like yesterday! =)
