Trying to decide between Majestic gardens and Metropolitan

Hi everyone! This is my first post, so I hope I am doing it in the right place! I recently got engaged on Christmas and we have decided not to have to long of an engagement and do it this September!!! We have narrowed it down to two places... the Majestic Gardens or Metropolitan. There are pros and cons to both places, and I am horrible at making decisions so I was hoping some of you may be able to assist me? Here is my two cents...

Majestic Gardens:

Pros: Beautiful outdoor space for a candlelit ceremony, a lot of food is included and the menu seems upscale and creative, price is reasonable

Cons: far.. most of my guest will be coming from Manhattan and Brooklyn or out of state. however my fiance's family is scattered through out the island so it should not be an issue for them. , A bit more of a traditional reception space then I was looking for (but still very nice)

Metropolitan:

Pros: closer. unique sophisticated space .

cons: does not include as much food for the price , everything is more Ala cart (valet parking, slip covers, etc.) and the do not seem as flexible on upgrades

I think it's great and thoughtful to cater to your guests but ultimately go with your heart!! If the travel to Majestic Gardens is too much of a trek maybe you can arrange shuttle service if your budget allows? I haven't seen both venues, just the Metropolitan and while we thought it was beautiful just didn't have that wow factor for us and didn't seem suitable for a really big wedding. That's just us though! Majestic Gardens looks magical : )

Thank you for the great idea of using a shuttle! I don't know why I didn't think of that.. I woke up this morning and decided on Majestic. They are just so nice and the secret garden space for the ceremony is so beautiful.

we had our company xmas party at the metroploitan and while ist beautiful i wasnt really that impressed with the food and for food will make or break a venue for me. also if a pro of majestic gardens is the outside keep in mine that the metropolitan doesnt have an outdoor area, so pics would have to be at a seperate location which isnt a bad thing just something to consider
