instead of Bridal shop because i was quoted $395 for a plain chapel length veil ($100) at veilshop but here's my problem. My gown color is called Perla - its a light ivory. I don't have a dress swatch but i do have a veil swatch. Should I wait until my first fitting and compare the veil swatch with the gown - my first fitting is June 17 and wedding 8/6 - is that enough time.
I never realized veils come in SO many different shades. There are 2 shades of ivory

i was having almost the exact same problem. i wanted to order my veil off ebay, but i wasnt sure if the ivory was a light ivory. i would wait until your dress fitting first. you will have enuf time to order off veilshop--i think it only takes 2 weeks.

You might be able to ask their advice. I think somewhere on the sight they mention designers and colors that their different colors match. On the swatch sheet they sent me they tried to make suggestions about which color to get so I just went with what it said and am hoping for the best!

I would call veilshop and ask. I had such a pleasent expericence with them and thought their customer service was top notch.
