TTC and DH's reactions

TTC and DH's reactions

Is anyone else's DH not really upset by negative results? He thinks I am nuts for reading/posting on here and with adding the opk's to TTC. I guess it can be good when they have a more positive outlook (we'll just keep trying!), but I guess I am looking for a little more of a reaction.

Darren used to be that way...then after a year he started getting into as well.
It's hard for them too, they just deal with it differently

DH used to be that way, but he gets upset now because we have been trying for so long, and it has been such a process. When AF comes he sees how upset I get and is so comforting

DH doesn't know I post on here about TTC this much. He was emotional when we m/c and when we started TTC again (he said the other night, 'I see a little baby and I think to myself, I can do that! I want a baby')

Other than that, I'll tell him when its time to BD, and what I'm feeliing (crampy lately-and he says I'm sorry and asks if it's good or bad)

Re: TTC and DH's reactions

DH got really ticked off the other day when he found out that I told my officemate that we were TTC.

I explained to him that this is so hard for me and I need somewhere to vent everynow and then because he can't always understand. I decided not to tell him about how much I post here.

Last night was the first night since we started trying (almost 6 months) that he actually asked questions about it and seemed concerned about the process.

I think it hurts their egos more if we don't get pregnant right away and it's harder for them to talk about. I know my DH thought it would be immediate and now that it's been a little while he's starting to feel more emotional about it.

Your DH will come around - or better yet, he won't have to because you'll get a BFP soon!! Baby dust!!

Re: TTC and DH's reactions

DH is wonderful, yet he doesn't fully understand why I worry about TTC as much as I do. I've had my share of medical issues in the past, so even though we hadn't been officially TTC until recently, I have been stressing about it nonetheless

He doesn't admit it and wear his emotions on my sleeve like I do - but I KNOW he wants a baby just as much as I do, and the fact it isn't going to be 'easy' for us does upset him a bit too.. overall he's very supportive and I love him to death for that

He does appreciate the fact that I'm educating myself about charting, etc and encourages me, but he truly believes 'it'll happen when its supposed to happen' ... so no, he doesn't realize that every month I will worry and pray and hope and cry and go through a roller coaster of emotions about 'am I or am I not' ...

As for talking to people about it and posting - he doens't mind so much that I talk to a few of my friends about it - but he truly does NOT LIKE that I post about it here (I just found that out recently) He thinks that posting only makes it tougher on me and the fact I get so emotional about the issue.. so we're at a crossroads about that
