I need to find a location for my 'Trash the Dress' shoot. Any suggestions would REALLY help

you can go to a park, a museum, a library, bowling alley, beach, DUMBO, anywhere with a lake, forest, swimming pool, etc ... it all depends on the look you want to go for

If you're looking for a beach location without TOO many people, I would consider the North Shore beaches. West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook (right next to Old Field Club) is gorgeous at sunset, since it faces west. If you can find a day that low tide coincides with sunset, a whole wide area of sandy beach with a large sandbar opens up and you would be able to get an amazing walking on water effect. My photographer FH and I go there all of the time, and it's really not that crowded now that we are past Labor Day. Good luck!

Thanks! I was thinking about the Kings Park Psychiatric Center, but I don't know if your allowed to shoot freely

This would be awesome! (But I think so because I grew up in KP haha)

Some of the grounds are a park, and I've taken pictures there just for myself, and no one bothers you. There are soccer fields that have a huge building behind them that would be a nice backdrop.

The Boulevard has a few buildings as well...but a lot of them you can't get too close to.
