I was so happy to read all the positive things everyone had to say about themselves yesterday when it came to their body parts! Sometimes it's really important to celebrate what you love about yourself physically, too!
Today's question of the day is more along the vein of closing your eyes and opening them wherever you could imagine...
Where would your dream destination wedding be?
If you could literally close your eyes and open them in another place with everyone you knew and loved there joining you for your wedding ($ no concern), where would it be?
If not a place, then what about a time period?
Did you ever seriously consider doing it? Why or why not?
I'm going to go jump in the shower and think about it, but I can't wait to hear everyone's answers! A little Tuesday morning fantasy session...

If I could have my dream wedding it would be in Tahiti on the beach at sunset. I think it would be a wedding of a lifetime and unforgettable.
And who would miss my wedding in Tahiti and all expenses paid for them????
I would never consider it cause it would cost probably $1 million dollars but a girl could dream. Instead I am having my wedding on the water so at least I have a beach backdrop.

Re: -*-*- TUESDAY QOTD -*-*-
Somewhere warm and tropical sounds wonderful!!!
I think I picture my own fantasy wedding somewhere like in that Seurat painting 'Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte' -- you know, the one with all the women with their huge hoop skirts on the hillside...
It's just so beautiful and spring-like there, with so much fun and joy in the air!
I know it's silly, but I think a wedding in a setting like that would be romantic and special and ideal.
It's obvious why I would never do it... I don't even think it could be done anymore! We'll have to 'settle' for our beautiful day with our family enjoying delicious food and company indoors... with no mosquitos. Actually, I think that's even better!!!!

shocker but i would do it in disney..
we actually were going to do it there at first..we priced everything, looked at some stuff when we were down there..it was expensive for only like 40 people but we were going to do it....then we told our families and they were not really into it as much as we were so rather than drag them down there we just decided to do it here...and in the end im hapy we did..but fh and i r going back one yr later and we will renew our vows of the polynesian hotel's beach

We originally looked into a Disney wedding also, Gina! Even with FSILs (she works there) employee discount it was waaaaaaaay too much money.
Next choice would be on the beach on Maui.

Honestly? I'd have a really, really simple reception and ceremony here on Long Island. I can't picture myself getting married anywhere else!!! I wish we didn't have to do the big shebang, but we have too many family members and friends!!!!

Re: -*-*- TUESDAY QOTD -*-*-
My dream wedding would be somewhere tropical...Hawaii, Aruba, St. Lucia, Tahiti, Figi...any of those will do! I would want it on the beach in the mid-afternoon to sunset.
I really considered doing it but there are a few reasons why I didnt:
1) Not everyone that I want there would be able to come
2) I do not want whoever did come to be there on my honeymoon
3) Money...of course!
Instead, I am having a small wedding (about 100 people) on LI. The wedding ceremony, CH and Reception will be on the beach. So, in the end I am kind of doing what I wanted and will be able to have all of my family and friends there with me. Now that I think about it...it probably would have cost less for me to have a destination wedding!
Oh well...the things you do for family and friends!

My dream wedding would probably be a vintage Victorian garden wedding like this picture very soft and romantic in a beautiful garden setting.

I always said I'd get married in Sedona, Arizona on a big red rock. I then decided that I wanted more than five people at my wedding though.
Although I'm having a beach wedding, I wouldn't mind having it somewhere more tropical.
Edit: I'm also having sort of a destination wedding reception.

i'd love to get married on a beach like in Fiji, at sunset, candles everywhere too, and big billowing white linens blowing in a gentle breeze. nothing but warm, sweet smells in the air and a very mellow outdoor dancing under the stars.

Santorini!!! Ahhhh, what I wouldn't give to be on the beach at sunset with a glass of wine in my hand and sand between my toes. If money was no object, we would probably do this, and it's not so far fetched for us because of the family ties. Not to Santorini per se, but Greece in general.

Since we got engaged on a cruise, we would have loved to have our wedding on one. If $ was no object, and we could pay for everyone, we would most likely do it.
We were very seriously considering it, but we really wanted to be married in a church.
My BFF had hers in Cabo..it was amazing. I wouldn't mind doing that either.

Well, I did go away and have a 'dream' wedding. We went to Jamaica and got married on the beach. It was beautiful, and fun, and unbelieveable....But....my dad wasnt there to walk me down the aisle, and my mom wasnt there to help me get ready....and I missed that so much. Thats why Im having the ceremony back here on saturday....to have MY 'dream' wedding.

Oooh juicy question!
My dream destination would be-in Capri, Italy! After seeing the wedding special of Giuliana DePandi and Bill Rancic on the Style Network, I was totally dying over it!!
I would have to say though, my (very close) second runner up would be the Plaza Hotel in NYC (like Bride Wars)..Just SO SO SO fabulous.

St. Bartz, would have considered it in a Pre Millenium economy back when my fathers business was booming, but never gave it a thought in today's world.
But LI in the summers is beautiful. My reception is waterfront, its going to almost as magnificent.
I did give consideration to FL, because we have a house on the beach there, where I could have gotten married. But putting people up there would have been hard and I would have had to leave out to many important people.
