Hey Girls!! hope everyone is enjoying the nasty weather today! ugh!!!
ok my question... So how did everyone pick their wedding song?? was it easy? did you guys have it picked out even before you were engaged?? or are you still deciding on what it will be??
My Answer: we had ours picked out about 3 years into dating! the song were were going to use was Its Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith hill...and we decided this while at a concert hearing them sing it to each other!! the two of us were soo overwhelmed by the emotion of the song that it had to be our wedding song! so since then that was what it would be! lol untill my brother got married last year and used it! at first i was really upset about it because the song meant so much to us!! but i slowly got over it! lol our weddings are a year apart so i thought it would look silly using the same song! and altho my brother said to use it, (i have a very sarcastic family) he will never let me live it down that i used the same song!
so after looking for a new one, we decided that our new one will be Lost in this moment by Big and Rich!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!! Im off for my second and i think final fitting!!!!! AHHHHH! so excited!!

Re: ***TUESDAY QOTD***
Our song the first time dating was a Lifehouse song 'Falling Even More in Love With You' and when we got back together 'You and Me' came out so we thought that would be our song. But then when we thought about it we wanted something more timeless, something you know you will always hear on the radio (10 years from now or 30). But we wanted something modern as well. I love the lyrics to 'Don't Want To Miss A Thing', it falls into that category and I met Steven Tyler in Hawaii, so it was a good fit.
Though I considered Lucky too because I love the words 'Lucky I'm in Love with my best friend.' But who knows if it will be a timeless song. It is on the must play list though.

Mine actually took forever to pick out. first I wanted amazed by lonestar bc it was always our song. But when I heard it agian it just didnt feel special anymore. So I was on a mission my friends wedding song was my destiny by jim brickman, I loved it but didnt wanna take her song so Iwas going to do another song, when my friend was like if you love our song go ahead and use it it would make me happy, so thats how I picked my destiny. Even now I know its our song b/c it gives me chills everytime

We actually had picked 'remember when' by alan jackson at first because we had been through so much during the course of our relationship and it symbolized all that. But then one night when we were out together, we were dancing and 'I live my life for you' by firehouse came on, and he was singing it to me as we danced. Thats when we decided to change it.

Re: ***TUESDAY QOTD***
We had one picked but its a live version so there was alot of clapping in the background ..no other version was recorded so we started listening to a million songs together and nothing felt right.
one day I posted on here about wedding songs and FH and I listened to a few of the suggestions.. When we listened to Stay with You by John legend I could def. tell it was our song. FH was smiling and I was crying lol (im a baby)

We still have not decided on our first dance song very frustrating. Personally for me is very difficult in deciding what our first dance be. We still have time so I hope the perfect song comes along.

Re: ***TUESDAY QOTD***
I knew our song since years before I met FH, and I always hoped and wished I would meet someone who I felt the same about as the singer of the song felt about who she was singing to. When I met FH, I knew right away that that is how I felt. I put the song on a CD I gave to FH on our third or fourth date, and he loved it and thought it was beautiful, so it was a no-brainer for us.
Our wedding song is 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy.

We actually decided this last Friday....actually FH picked it out. We had been going on You Tube and playing songs that we both like from all different genres. Then on Friday night when I came home from the Paul McCartney concert there was a note on the computer monitor that read 'click play on the song I have set up on the computer, I know you don't like country but if you listen to the words of this song I think its perfect for us'. So I shake the mouse so the screen comes up and it is 'Bless this Broken Road' by Rascal Flatts. I thought I had heard the song before but when I listened to it I realized I hadn't. As I listened to the lyrics I began to cry and I knew that even though I am not the biggest country fan....this song is for us and will be our song at our wedding.
I *thought* we had it all picked out but now we're totally confused!
Originally it was Taking You Home by Don Henley. We both thought the lyrics were perfect snce we're older and the sentiment just fit us exactly.
Then I fell in love with At Last by Etta James. Again, the words are super-appropriate but FH thinks it's too 'slow.'
Then we were thinking For Once in My Life by Michael Buble....
The more we think about it, the more we change it.....

I just looked them up - the lyrics to this song are gorgeous.

We picked our song She's Got a Way by Billy Joel because we're both big fans, and on my 21st birthday we saw Big Shot at Port Jazz, and FH went up to the lead singer and had him dedicate the song to me.

Re: ***TUESDAY QOTD***
Even before I started dating FH I had my songs for my wedding picked out (by the way I'm not using anything I had picked before ) I wanted it to be 'Let's Stay Together' by Al Green. My FH loves the song but felt we couldn't really dance to it. We went back and forth with songs until he suggested we use the song from Wall-E when Wall-E is falling in love with Eve. The song is called 'La Vie en Rose' sung by Louis Armstrong. I love how it's completely different and not many people will have that as there song. It's something for just the both of us!
