This is the slowest week in the history of the planet for me! I didn't have off from work yesterday, so it feels even longer! Ugh.
Anyway, time issues got me thinking about the wedding question for today.
How long will you and FH be engaged before your wedding day? And would you have liked to change that amount of time? Shorter? Longer? etc.
FH and I will be together over 10 years by our wedding day, and engaged for over 2 years. Having two years to plan a wedding is great, because it really spreads the time out and causes less stress. HOWEVER, if I had it my way we would have been married last year. We waited to save the money to pay off the wedding and my school debt - FH's idea. It was the right move in the end, but still waiting *****! LOL.

it will be 1 year and 8 mths total...
part of me wishes we wouldve done it sooner....like just one year. that way i wouldnt have had to wait as long. but doing it in the amount of time we did let us take longer to do stuff so it was less stressful and also gave us more time to save money

We'll have been engaged for 18 mos. Personally, that was the perfect amount of time for us. We didn't really start planning until about a year out, so it was nice to enjoy those few months of being engaged. We'll have been dating for 5 years by our wedding date.

We will have been together in total for 7 years and 2 weeks........engaged for 17 months (one year 5 months) ......
I think it was the perfect amount of time for us and really don't think I would have changed it at all!!! I don't feel it was too long or too short!

Our engagement will be a total of 1 year, 5 months, and 15 days, lol. I would've liked for it to be shorter, but we didn't want to get married in the winter, and everything for late summer/early fall of 2009 was booked when we started looking.
ETA: We will have been together for 10 years, 4 months, and 13 days when we get married.

we will have been together for 4 years, and engaged EXACTLY 15 months and 1 day! i think it was a perfect amount of time for us (although some days I feel like I just want to get the wedding over and done with already!!!!)

Our engagement is 2 years 1 month and 3 days. I am so glad that we had a longer engagement. Right after we got engaged FMIL had alot health issues that we have to deal with. If we had to plan the wedding in a shorter time span while dealing with her issues I think I would have ended up in a straight jacket.

FH and I have been together for almost 3 years. We will be engaged 1 year and 3 months before our wedding. It's going sooo fast!!!!

by the wedding we will be engaged for 2 years & 37 days. i think its a good amount of time between engagement & wedding.

We were together for 5 years and 4 months and engaged for 2 years and 2 months before we got married.
The long engagement worked for us, the last few months I wanted the wedding to just get here already, but it was definitely worth the wait

We will be together for 9 years by the wedding and we will have been engaged a little less than 13 months by the wedding... i didnt want a long engagement... neither did he...

We will have together 4 years..and engaged almost 3 years.
I definatly wouldn't change it. I HATE waiting so long, but I really like the long engagement. I was able to book every vendor that I wanted because we booked so early, we saved enough money so that we dont have to worry about money, and I really like having all the time to get everything done so Im not rushing.

we will be together 1yr and 9months and 4 days engaged for a yr and 3 months would've liked it to be much shorter. wish we could've got married last summer, but we couldnt financially and there was no way we would've done a winter wedding.

8 1/2 months
I want to marry him right now!!! I'm so antsy already. haha I really would just go to the court house and marry him today!
But seriously, this is the perfect length for us. Not too short where we are stressed. 8 months is plenty of time. I couldn't do a long one. Neither could he. We want to get married and start making babies asap! hehehe
Oh, and we got engaged on our 1 year anniversary.

To be completely honest I know this sounds terrible but I as much as I want the wedding to come I wish we had more time to save some money, and do the things we would LOVE to do for the wedding.
