Tulip Bo-k ?

Is anyone putting tulips into their BoK or CP?
If so, do you have any pics? Im looking for them everywhere, but cant seem to find any I like.
I was originally thinking of doing a tulip only bok, but now i cant picture it.
HELP
Tia!!!

Hey! I used to work in a florist and we didn't typically use tulips in boks because they don't hold up all day. They need a lot of water.

Good luck though!

Yep, Tulips are my absolute FAVORITE flower, but florists all said bad idea, especially all tulips...they will droop. You can use some in the bouquet if you surround them with hardier flowers that don't allow them to droop, but then you really can't see them anyway....I decided to go with mostly peonies (which I also love) instead

I agree, I too worked with fresh flowers....they do 'droop' BUT like the Gerber Daisy, you may place the stem in a straw- it will help, but their petals fall off so easy too. I would avoid it - or plan a back up ....just in case....

Im thinking of doing tulip cp's, instead. Is that wise?

Tulips are my FAVORITE and I had so many pics but then took them all out of my album when my florist said they would be VERY exspensive and not be the best quality flower. I will try to post some of my pics.

hmmm..tulips are not generally a high priced flower...but maybe because of the season?

I really have no clue when it comes to flower prices!

I love tulips as well, and I think the straws will help the droopy issue as well. Your idea to do them as CP might be better--there isnt' too much handling of them. As pretty as they look, they're pretty delicate and aren't like roses or peonies in that if a petal falls off, it's SUPER noticeable in a tulip, whereas the others are much 'fuller' buds.

I'd stay away from them in Bouquets-vey fragile like gerberas. YES some people use them and they are fien but 9/10 they droop and can break just like daisies unless you go to great lengths (and more expense!) like i had to do for my gerbers.

In CP's they could look great! Maybe simple glass containers with coloroed ribbon wrapped around the middle. i saw one once and it was beautiful.

I LOVE tulip bo-k's and cp's. I would do it. Try 2dozen with no filler wrapped withribbon. Soooo classic and beautiful!

See, now I had ALL gerbera daisy bouquets for myself and my bridesmaidsa and had NO problems. THey weren't wired or have the straws and held up beautifully!!! My bouquet looked perfect for a few days after the wedding!!!

I think it has a lot to do with the florists and where they get the flowers from and when they are assembled. I know my flowers came in on Friday for a Saturday wedding and were put together Friday afternoon!

My suggestion toe the OP is contact a few florists and see what they say!

Good LUCK!!! Tulips are gorgeous!!

I'm not having flower cps or I'd consider that - but real ones would be anyway lol
