Tulips

Is anyone using Tulips in their centerpieces, or does anyone have any pictures of tulip centerpieces? Someone told me that they will droop by the end of the night. is this true????

I haven't decided on what flowers I want in my centerpieces. But I do know the colors! Tulips at the end of the night can droop. I have heard that before!!! Plus I have gotten a dozen tulips one year for Secretary's day and by the end of the day they drooped!! So I would say the dropping is true!

Tulips are my favorite flowers but I am not using them for just that reason--they are not that hardy and don't hold up well...some florists told me they could incorporate a few into my bouquet, but definitely not as the primary flower in anything...

yeah usually the tulips at the end of the night are sagging a little, especially if they are in your bo-k

but if the florist does them right that they are tied tighlty together in bunches they usually dont fall

yes they will be falling over by the end of the night... but when u put tulips in a vase throw a few pennys at the bottom and they will stay straight up for days

One of the florists showed me a chuppah made of white tulips. It was $5000!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, I didn't get that one!

They can be delicate, so I agree with the PP. Maybe just have them in your bouquet.

yes they will droop unless you have them tight in a cube or something where they are supported immensley

Re: Tulips

i am thinking you can use them in low centerpieces where most of the stem is cut off to avoid them dropping???Your florist should be honest with you and tell you what works best.
