Tulle for Veil - I'm I being lied to??

I got my veil yesterday and I must say, it's sooo Stiff compare to the one i tried on at the store.

The one I tried had that cascade look.
The sales woman is telling me that is becasue the veil is new and that there is only one type of tulle used for veils. Is this right? or are they lying to me?
Mind you, this is BCM store that closed.

Please help. Is this veil going to get softer?

the nw's do check this board & answer questions- some get annoyed when you post on the NW board.

Anyhow... I got my veil from the store and it was exactly the one that I tried on- I think there is more than one type of tulle- if you are not happy with it, I would bring it to the store and return it- maybe they ordered the wrong one- I cant see why the display model would have been that different. good luck!

I also agree that there are many different kinds of tulle. Some MUCH stiffer than others. Yours should come just like what you tried on.

there is a diff. in tulles. Tell her to steam the veil out and see if it gets less stiff but from the sounds of it might not be the same one you thought you were ordering.

I bought both my dress and veil from BCM. My veil was simple, not a cascading at all. It was exactly the same veil I tried on - just newer. The tulle itself was soft to the touch but it fell somewhat stiffer b/c it was new. You have to remember that the sample veil was tried on and touched by many people - this would change how it falls and how it feels to the touch.

I would see if you can get the veil steamed which might help how it falls. There isn't anything you can do about making it feel softer since tulle is not a fabric like cotton. Ask around at different bridal salons, they might have a solution for you.

Good luck - I can imagine how nerve-wracking it must be.

since the store went out of business, they keep telling me that all tulle are the same. And the reason why is stiff is becasue is new. I disagree, but I want to make sure I got the facts correct before getting into it it her.
