turkey meat vs. chop meat

I bought ground turkey meat and turkey sausage today, is this a much better alternative to beef??? I am hoping that it is...

It depends on the cut - turkey meat can be just as fatty as red meat, although it is still better for your insides. Turkey breaks down faster but the actual fat may still be the same amount.

I use the turkey meat for everything..there are different types with different fat content in it..the one I buy is I think 1.5 grams of fat., no carbs..I use it for tacos, everything. Its great and it taste yummy! It will definately be better than regular beef..,,Ive never tried the turkey sausage. Let us know how it is!!

I do not eat red meat, so I use turkey everything....ground turkey, turkey burgers, sausage, bacon, etc. I think it's great, and no one knows the difference. A little tip on the ground turkey, put it in the food processor or blender before cooking and it has the exact texture of ground beef. I only buy the 1.5 grams of fat one also. The other has too much fat.
