Turn Loose the Art or Duet

I am torn between these two companies for photography. I feel like Duet is a sure thing in terms of great pictures and service, from what I've heard and read, but I also love Turn Loose the Art's work. I just worry that they are a lot newer and don't have as much feedback yet.

Any input? Also, if I go with Duet, any recommendations for photographers? I've heard great things about Jay and Alberto.

check out MikesBride2B she used Turn Loose the Art... and her pics are amazing...

Duet does awesome work too tho...

I am a little biased since I am a Duet bride. We have Alberto as our photographer -- we did our e-pics with him a few weeks ago, and loved him!

I almost went with Turn Loose the Art. In my opinion, their quality is amazing, the best I've seen for local photographers. I don't know if you've looked into prices, but their album prices are sky high. I'm willing to pay some bank, but at minimum for just the wedding and an album, you're probably looking at 6,000, nothing else included. They're going to be way more money than Duet.
I wouldn't be concerned about the amount of experience they have. Unlike other companies, Turn Loose the Art only has two photographers, so the same two shoot all of the weddings. Plus, I think Brittany, the woman was a wedding photographer in California before joining with Joe.
Choosing a photographer was driving me nuts and took me over a month to decide. This is because I consider photography the most important vendor. After all is said and done, you have photographs to remember things.
In the end, I didn't go with Turn Loose the Art because they moved up their prices after I met with them, and a month later wouldn't offer me the same price. I thought that was lame. Maybe because of this in addition to their high cost, I felt I was just another one of their many clients. I didn't feel a connection with them, and I didn't feel my business was important to them.
Jennifer Sosa is an up and coming VERY talented photographer. Her style is very different from Turn Loose the Art. Prices are much more reasonable, I would guess more along the Duet Prices. I would also guess that her prices are going to go up, because she's new but so talented. I've done an engagement shoot with her and she's amazing. I've gotten so many compliments on the pictures. Plus she was fun to hang out with, and she stayed like an hour over time saying she'd do anything for a good picture.

I am going with turn loose the art.. they have shot a lot of my friends wedding and they really know their stuff... they are very talented photographers individually and together... they are more expensive but I think its worth the price.

I really love turn loose the art's work and i really wanted to use them. My cousin used them for her wedding and her wedding was recently featured on style me pretty. They truly are such wonderful photagraphers, but everything is a la carte and they were more than double what I paid for at Duet. I booked with Jay and once i got back my engagement pics, which are in my album, I knew I made the right choice, I truly love Jay's style of photography more so than turn loose the art's. They are two totally differnt styles though. In the end, you have to chosse based on your style and, unfortunately, budget. If you truly love turn loose the art and they are more than your budget allots for, perhaps you can sacrifice somehting else from your budget to offset the expense, like uplighting or no live music etc... I'm a duet girl too! I'm using Tim (a photographer that's not often talked about from Duet, but I love him!!)

My engagement pics are in my albums. I loved their pictures and loved their price! With them, I was able to afford a videographer!
