Did any brides use or plan on using a tussy mussy with their bouquets? I've seen some nice ones, but haven't gotten to hold one. Are they slippery? Does the florist provide them or we bring our own?
If you have any pics with your tussy mussy - please share!
TIA

Re: Tussy Mussy?
I ordered Tussy Mussies from weddingdepot.com, and was very happy with the quality - I don't think they are slippery. I got one with a stand so that I can give them to the girls as vases after the wedding.
A tussy mussy is a victorian style bouquet holder - their are silver or gold ones...some are more intricate than others.

Thanks for giving the explanation m&m. I've been away from my computer since I made this post. I think I may order one to get a feel for their size and appearance. I'm not really clear on how big a bouquet they can hold.

I prefer the look of a hand-tied bouquet. I'm sure any florist can do one for you. Here's what one looks like:

I'm getting my girls tussy mussy's, i think they're beautiful and you can give them engraved to your girls as their gift. i don't think florists have them, since most people don't know what they are anymore, its from the victorian era. i think its a really cool tradition. i want to get my girls ones that come with a stand so that we can use them as decorative pieces for the cake table ^___^

I was thinking about doing the same thing! Meaning getting the stand and engraving the tussy mussy. Do you find that they are hard to hold?

I also like hand-tied bouquets becuase you can do such fabulous things with the ribbon, but the tussy mussys can be a great keepsake for after the wedding.

it depends on the material the TM is made out of but the one's that i've tried were a good weight..not too heavy and not too light but sturdy..^___^

Re: Tussy Mussy?
The size of the bouquet also depends on the size of the tussy mussy - AC Moore and Michaels carry some of the smaller ones so you can get an idea.

I really thought it was a new, trendy type of hair-do for weddings. Oh well, I learn something new everyday.

Re: Tussy Mussy?
i've seen a lot of mom's hold them... i'm considering it for the moms since they usually have smaller bo-k's.

Re: Tussy Mussy?
I didn't have a TM, but instead of corsages, our mothers used tussy mussies and it was so pretty. Like a mini bouquet. It was hand-tied. Here's a pic where you can sorta see my mom's.
