Tux for groom??

Tux for groom??

Hi ladies,

It's crunch time....

Please help me. My BM's dresses are amethyst with silver crystals. I do not want to put the guys in purple vests (Barney like) so we chose silver vests for the guys, dark silver for the dads and platinum for the groom. I am now thinking that this is not enuf to differentiate the groom from the ushers.

Any suggestions? I am thinking maybe a white vest with white tie. I don't know...stressing!!! Of course he doesn't really care aka 'you handle it'

We just went for tuxes last night, and I wanted John to TOTALLY stand out from the rest like I will be, so we got him a white vest and a white ascot (sp?) tie.

The girl in the tux places said white, and I was kinda if-y but when I saw it, I fell in love!
It was really gorgeous!

My ushers are also in grey vests and my girls in lilac.

I didn't want to differ John's look with just a bout, but its up to you.

I think the light grey & dark grey can make your FH stand out. Why don't you go there w/ your FH & stand him next to another guy and look at it again.

I will go to the tux place this weekend and have a look. I don't remember the style of tie but I think it looks like the one your FH will be wearing. I like it a lot! Still frustrated that he is being so lax about it...and everything else lately!

I also like the white vest and tie for the Groom. I think its stands out the most. Shaun wants silver but I think I can still change his mind.

Sobe, John wanted to go for tuxes 'whenever' I was like 'no we go now!'

IrishTracey, he didn't even want to try it on!!!! He said, oh I will look good in it! I choos my battles with him but now I am thinking about the pics and stuff! I am really P.O.'d at him lately.

I love the white vest/tie for the groom. FH doesn't though. So he is wearing the silver tie and vest and the groomsmen are wearing a textured black tie and vest.
