tux help

not sure how i feel about this, but my fh's grandfather wants to wear a tux to the wedding....my fh has 3 grandparents left, i have none. his other fh will not be wearing a tux. imo, only the bp and father of bride and groom should wear tuxes. i've stated this to my fh and my fil's, but we really can't tell him no.

any thoughts greatly appreicated

He's still a close relative of your FH, so I think it's fine. But it's up to you.

if my grandpa was still alive i would have gotten him a tux. i think it's nice for grandparents to feel special as well. i would let him wear a tux. it's a special occasion for him as well. there's no real reason not to.

Why I know that some of the men attending our wedding plan to wear tuxedos. At many of the weddings I have attended, the male guests have worn tuxedos.

Do you plan to tell guests that the wedding is casual If your invite reads black tie optional or has no mention of attire, I suspect more than just your FH's grandpa may show up in a tuxedo.

I definitely think it's okay if grandfathers wear tuxes to the wedding. FH's grandfather is wearing one. I have no grandparents left on my side, otherwise my grandfathers would also.
