My FI went to look at tuxes last night at After Hours at Smithaven. He was VERY frustrated because they had absolutly NOTHING for him to try on to get an idea of what style he wanted. We had gone before, and he went again to look at Rogers in Centereach but they only have coats but not his size and he looked at Men's Warehouse too and nothing. So, I am wondering if there are any tux places that you guys know of, preferably in Suffolk, that do have something to actually try on. He was so upset last night. We only have 6 weeks to go and now I am starting to get worried.

I highly recommend Elite Tuxedos as they let you try on and have everything available on the premises but its in Nassau.

I had a good experience at Elite that Latina mentioned and also Bonaventure in Garden City. Both were very patient and let FH try anything on he wanted

Thanks to Latina511, we went to Elite and had a great experience there. My FH tried on lots of combos before picking the style that he liked, and they were very patient as we went back and forth on what to get. We worked w. Ricardo, he was so sweet. I highly recommend them.

OMG, we had the same problem, and we totally found an awesome store where you could try everything on! It is in Centereach and has a few other Suffolk locations and for the life of me I cannot remember the name! Darn! I will check with DH and get back to you tomorrow, or FM me if I forget!
They were terrific! AND, since everyone was coming in from out of town and had to mail in measurements, some of them had been measured wrong and needed last minute changes. The woman there on Friday night stayed late and got them all set, and they had a blast trying everything on, it was really cute!

Sorry this took sso long, but the name of the store that we used where you can try on everything is Roger's Tuxedos.
They have everything in stock so you can go and try on and see how things will look, and most importantly, FIT! it is truly a great service that they offer. plus, even if your GM are from out of town, they can call in their measurements and then go there the day before and if need be, change whatever they need!!!!! we had to change 2 of our guys, just because not every tux fits the same. it was great!!!
