So we have a lot of tuxes to get: groom, 2 dads, BM, 7 GM and 2 RB. FOG, BM, 2 GM and RB are all in Florida, everyone else is in NY. We would like to avoid using Men's Warehouse and After Hours b/c of past experiences w/ both. Does anyone know of any other chains in both NY and FL? What about if we used a tux place up here and they called in their measurements - do you think that would be reliable? Is that too big of a chance? They will not be up from Florida before the wedding. What do you girls think? TIA!

I Wouldnt worry about using a chain. All of our groomsmen but one are from out of town. go to a local independently owned tux shop. They will ask you for the names of your BP and fathers etc.. Then they will give you cards for you to mail to each person needing a tuxedo. They can go to a local shop where THEY live, have the shop measure them accurately and then they mail back the cards so by the time of your wedding, they are there waiting for the guys. Each shop recognizes that professional courtesy. In other words, they do favors for each other. Thats what we did and what we have done before for other weddings in the past.
