Tux Question? Updated

Hi ladies, I need opinions and pretty quick so i call the tux place and change our order.

My BM dresses are called brick, which its actually an orange color. FH and i went to rent the tuxes a few weeks back. FH is wearing black tux with a silver vest and tie. He ordered the GM same tux but ordered the vest and ties in orange to match BM. Now is that cheesy, i told him i think it looks like a prom. He said he doesnt think so. Should i call and change the order to silver for the GM to. Or maybe to a platinum. Heres the dress and color. TIA

Ok ladies i went to change the tux colors today,and the lady at the store said that if im going to do the GM in platinum, i should put FH in a white vest and tie instead of silver so he will match my dress. What do you think? Did or is anyone else doing black tux with White vest and tie for FH?

I don't think matching the BP is cheesy or 'prom-like' at all. If you do decide to change the GM colors though, I would make the darker platinum so that your groom stands out with his own color.

Our place told us that the Groom is always lighter than the GM... if that helps?

I voted for the platinum.

but also, on a side note... I think matching looks nice (maybe a little promy, but still cute!) We didn't do it, b/c our girls are wearing pink, and the boys were NOT having it!

i don't think it looks cheesy. my girls are wearing navy and the guys are wearing navy vests and ties

My girls are wearing claret (dark red) and the GM are wearing dark red ties/vests to match! I like the way the 'matching' looks

I don't think it looks promish at all! we were going to do the same thing and match the girls and uys but our tux place didn't have a blue that matched the girls dresses so we went with the guys in silver and the hubby in white.
