Tux questions...

So last night we went to pick out tuxes.... for check! Now here's my questions....Our son's (AKA best men) really want bow ties...FH wants a regular tie. What would you do? FH thinks we would just let them all have what they want but I think it may look silly with different ties. Next question....why do they need suspenders? They are all getting them as part of the rental and I had no idea they needed them. TIA

Honestly, I'd rather them be uniform and all have the same kinds of ties- whether it be bow ties or regular ties. JMO!

And the suspenders, I have no idea, but they look really cute on and they make for a great dancing prop. All our guys wore them and loved 'em!

Since we have such a small bridal party FH doesn't think it's a big deal. I'm just not so sure.

If FH wants the bow ties, then I say go for it. If he would rather have the ties, then do the ties.

my FH is wearing a bow tie and all of the GMs are wearing ties. i went back and forth on this for a bit, but i think it'll be nice to have FH stand out. i mean i'm clearly standing out as compared to my BMs so he should look special too,

I think it will be fine!

How old are they? I ask bc I love little ones in bow ties. We were going to do all bow ties, but FH wasnt crazy about it on him when we went to try it on. So, we are doing ties for FH and GM, and bow ties for the dads and RB's (5 kids, 4 and under). I think it's fine to mix, def been to weddings like that, i just think why not let everyone feel comfy?

Oh...they are not little at all!! 17 and 13....they just love the idea of bow ties!

A proper tux should always have a bowtie, so your best men are correct in wanting them. I would actually encourage all of them to wear bowties, as wearing a bowtie is one of the things that makes a tux look like a tux as opposed to a black suit. And please, have them wear the tie-your-own bowties. You wouldn't let a guy wear a clip-on long tie!

Tux pants are made without belt loops, so the suspenders help keep the pants at the appropriate place on the waist, and keep the line of the pant leg draping properly.
