Do any of you know if it might be cheaper to rent a tux for my fiance to wear and tell them that we are going to a black tie wedding (not ours) rather than telling them that the tux is for our wedding?

oo thats a good question...my FH just went yesterday for a fitting for a black tie wedding ...i have to say it wasnt that bad ..only 140 i'm sure it's prob the same ...they usually give discounts when there are 7 or more people renting

We used Rogers Tuxedos in Babylon and I think the tuxes are like $120

Oh, I had no idea it was so inexpensive. Yeah, we really have to get out there and get the rental - we only have 19 more days!!!

We did ours through Men's Wearhouse and it ended up being cheaper since it was for a wedding. There was a $20 off coupon and since we rented at least 4 tuxes, FH's was free.
ETA - Before the coupon it was $119, a Kenneth Cole tux.

We are using Rogers Tuxedos also. We are using the Smithtown location. They were $120 and we got 2 at half price and grooms free.
