FH went to choose the tuxes yesterday ... he said the GM can just rent the tux itself without the shoes. They can either wear their own black dress-shoes, or rent them from the place if they really want.
It's a good idea, right?

it wouldnt bother me if they didnt have the rented shoes... as long as they were dress shoes

We made it mandatory to have to rent shoes - left to their own, they would wear sneakers LOL

tux shoes are generally patent leather. would it bother you if some had shiny shoes and others didn't?

It wouldn't have bothered me if the guys all wore mismatching shoes, but we opted out of the rental shoes because the GM gift was black Converse sneakers!

I think if you just make sure they all know what you want them to wear you'll be fine. Personally I think we are going to have the guys rent the shoes. I think it looks nicer if they are all the same ...

FH has a lot of questionable characters in the BP so I am def making the shoe rental mandatory!
