Tuxedo Help Needed (xpost from BHB)

We have GM's all over the country and need to get the tuxes through a chain that they can all go to.

So far we've been to Men's Wearhouse and After Hours.

Can anyone suggest another we should check out?

TIA!

If u cant find a chain- u can have ur GM go to ANY tux store near them to get measured, call the measurements in to the store that you guys choose. and then on the wedding day they will have to designate 1 person to pick them all up for the guys to meet up & change..

Make sense?

that's what we're doing. we have a few OOTers that will just call in their measurements and then go to FH's house the day of to get dressed and ready to leave in the limo

I was thinking about that but I'm worried -- what if someone's doesn't fit? (here's where i get neurotic!) I guess I'd have to ask the place if they have someone in house who could fix it right then and there, huh?

Well u gotta remember- its a jacket & pants... Its not like a dress- So HOPEFULLY they will fit just by the measurements, ya know!

Honestly though- our guys are just getting measured & they will pick up the tuxes on the thursday... They dont try anything on prior to pick up..

i dont know if this is typical or not, but this is what we're doing.. Im SURE we'll be fine

We had a FANTASTIC experience with the Mens Wearhouse in Patchogue. We had groomsmen all over too and it worked out really well. I didnt trust the local shop/measurements sent in process either.. seemed like too much of a hassle. Mens Wearhouse was so easy.

Maybe if you get the designer and style number of the tuxes you are selecting for the GM than the should be able to go into any tuxedo rental store and find that specific tux for them right

We only had DH and the best man close enough to go to the shop. Everyone else called their measurements in and it was totally fine. Not one emergency and that includes the little ringbearer.

I don't know where you are located but we went to Bell Formals on Bell boulevard in Queens. They had a sheet that our groomsmen could use to fill out to make it easier.

Good luck!

Us too...we ordered from Duo in Syosset. And they told us to have our OOT GMs go to any Jim's Formalwear retailer and they call it in. They have a whole bunch listed on their web site. Jim's

Groom here!

I had to deal with this a few months ago. I just looked for a place with a big enough selection of jackets and pants in stock so that if the measurements don't match up exactly right they would have others that people could try out. Also the card they gave me for OOT guests was fairly comprehensive with the measurements to try to avoid this problem.
