What other places can we go to to look at tuxedos? We have one guy that lives in Connecticut, we live in Nassau and the others are in Suffolk. Ideas? Thanks!

Re: Tuxedo Question
i used tuxedo park. As far as guys living further away this is what we did. The guys who live further away can go to any tailor, cleaners to get measured, then all they have to do is call the tuxed place you are using and call in with the measurements. Then have another guy pick up the tux for them when they need to pick it up.
We had a gm in jersey, and we asked the tux shop about this bc i dont think somebody shouldve driven that far just to get measured. They gave us measurement cards and said he can get measured anywhere, just to let them know the measurements. Then when the guys picked up tuxes the week of, they picked up the tux for him and brought it to dh's house the morning of.

So, guys don't try them on and get them tailered and all that stuff? It's just about getting measured and picking it up?

Re: Tuxedo Question
He went once for a tuxedo and hated it. He felt like the guy wasn't listening to him. I've also heard a couple of negative things about them. Then again, there is always negatives about any place...he's a pain like that. He could go to a different one but once he gets something in his head there isn't much changing him.

yes the guys can go get measured in person most of our guys did. But gm in jersey wasnt going to drive from jersey to li just to get measured so he just called in with his measurements BUT he still had to go elsewhere by him to get measured. its not just waist, hips measurements, they need to know measurement of arms, neck, then a bunch of others. So they are still getting measured somewhere. If others live close by they might as well go to your tux place to get measured

Re: Tuxedo Question
We are going with Roger's Tuxedo on Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst. It's a small place and the service is great! FH got fitted on Monday there!

Re: Tuxedo Question
yea def look into them... they have a website you can create tux looks, i'd never heard of them before, but they are located at the bridal store we got our dresses at. The man was so nice and helpful! and they are EVERYWHERE I'm surprised they arn't more well known.
