FH and I just returned from After Hours in Roosevelt Field mall, and the prices they gave us at a bridal show earlier were FAKE! (we have their write-up) Why was the sales staff acting like we had two heads or something....my FH lost it in the store...I managed to calm him down in the parking lot...we are still looking....does anyone have any suggestions...PS we need rentals for Boston, Atlanta, Maryland, Virginia Beach and NY....our BP is from all over the place..sorry this is long-winded....we're going to catch a movie and get past this stuff for now!

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that!! I know that Men's Warehouse has tux rentals, you might want to look into that because they might have different locations in the U.S. Good Luck!

We are kind of in the same boat, with guests from Chicago, Iowa, and New York. Someone recommended Zeller's which has a story by Fortunoff's on Old Country Road. You guys can get measurments at a tailor and call them into a store. www.zellertuxedo.com

go with mens warehouse they are very nice and easy to work with. I have a question why do you have to order them from other states. If the GM are all coming to the wedding here? I have GM from out of town and they gave us their measurements and they are getting the tuxs here in NY

we are also using men's wearhouse, since we needed something that was in Boston, here, and in Florida. So far, they have been great!

mens warehouse..... they should be able to measure them in their home location then give the measurements to your store....

My FH is most likely going with Men's Wearhouse as well. We have GMs from all over, and with Men's Wearhouse, once your FH places his order, the GMs can get measured at any Mens Wearhouse store, designate which store they want to pick it up at, and which store they want to drop it off at! And it can be 3 different places!

At most places, all that you need is the GMs tuxedo measurements. Some places will do it for a small fee (this is from what my FH tells me). One of our GM lives in San Diego. He is going to get his measurements taken from a local tailor, call my FH with the info and he will order it for him when he goes with his other GMs to get the tuxes locally (here).
The GM from San Diego may be required to call the tuxedo rental place in NY and leave a deposit via credit card or whatever.
Can you trust the GMs in the outer cities to take care of that?

ok my 2 cents - dont get stuff from the mens wearhouse - i bought fh a suit there with alterations - the whole shebang came to almost 800 dollars and the pants began to unravel where they did the alterations because they didnt serge the cuts - they dont want to fix the problem and they have left me with a horrible taste about them - found them absolutely terrible to deal with - that is just my opionion/experience but i figured i would let you know

FH bought suits there and was amazed at the time they spent helping him and how much they paied attention to him. Although they are expensive he would buy every suit there again. The are good and know what they are doing!

We're using MW too.
I agree w/june262004, they're expensive but they have always done an awesome job with tailoring FH's suits.

We trust our bridal party and others to pick up their tuxes and arrive in NY with them...everyone is coming in on different days and I nor my Fh want to be bothered the week of running around picking up tuxes, these are responsible adults (family) we're dealing with and we're paying for it...that always makes people more cooperative when its someone elses money

We're doing Men's W. also. You can get measured, picks up, and return in different cities if you want! Very convenient since our BP is on the move...and they are very reasonable.

FH insisted on doing a bridal show deal w/ MW. He gave them a refundable $10 deposit and he's guaranteed $50 rentals and I think his si free after 4 GM.
