Help! My fiance went to a place in Brooklyn today that I actually got a recommendation for from here at some point and he didn't have a great experience. He got very little help, they wouldn't let him try on the whole tuxedo, and really acted as if they didn't care whether or not they got his business. Needless to say, FH doesn't want to go back there.
Anyone have a recommendation for a tuxedo place in Brooklyn??

We got ours through Zellers. There's one in Bayridge and it's a great place to go through because there are Zellers in other states as well so groomsmen from all over can get fitted without having to be in Brooklyn. We used them for FH's sister's wedding and everyone looked amazing so I felt confident using them again.

We went to a million places and no one had an entire tux to try on. Classie Tuxedos at least let us try on jackets. You can also try Tuxedo World on SI. They have tons available to try on. We found the try-ons to be in way better condition at Classie and that's the store we chose.

Zellers is ok. Steve was lukewarm about going back there but honestly, tuxedo renting isnt vvery glamorous and zellers has been fine so far. The options here are surprisingly limited.

I agree! I mean Colin isn't looking for a place that's going to serve him cappuccino, he just wants sales people who can offer some kind of help or guidance! I think he was going to check out Zeller today.
I know people who have gotten tuxes from Men's Warehouse and while they have looked good, I've heard several different people say that MW gave them a lot of aggravation (messing up orders, etc.) so we were looking for an alternative, and hopefully local.

we went to the menswarehouse and we didnt like anything and the sales guy was very annoying he was pushing what he wanted on us and not what we wanted.
we have no compliants with zeller they had everything we wanted the only thing was the rental cost for the rb so i just bought his tux and will get the matching tie and vest from zeller and the customer service was great

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please go to Phil's Tuxedo's on New Utrecht Avenue! He is phenomenal and will really pay attention to what you both want and make FH look fantastic! they are right next door to Valentina Bridal. Phils is right on the corner of 75th Street

Antonella, FH went to Phil's yesterday and he put a deposit down on the spot! He was also referred to Phil yesterday by a women he works with whose daughter just got married and used them. Phil (I love that there really is a Phil lol) listened to FH but also gave suggestions. I'm so glad we could check this one off!

Phil's is literally at the end of the block from my new apartment! Steve didn't want to go there for some reason. I'm glad you guys got it worked out though!
