Tuxes

Hi ladies! Does anyone know of any tux chains other than Afterhours and Men's Warehouse? We need our groomsmen to have access in Pennsylvania, NY and Connecticut. Thanks!

Re: Tuxes

I don't know about chains, but most tuxedo shops have cards for the out of town groomsmen to get filled out with their measurements. They can go to any local tuxedo shop to get measured, and then all they have to do is call the store in NY. That's what we're doing b/c we have 1 groomsmen in Charleston and 1 in Atlanta. We used Tuxedo Park in Huntington.

Re: Tuxes

You don't need to do a chain. They can get measured anywhere and call it in to a local tux place here.

My brother has been in at least a dozen weddings. After a few mishaps with other places (all chains) he, and his friends, will only deal with one tux place locared here on LI. They have everything on site. The problem with the chains is that they ship each tux from a central location in the country to the local store. What happens if they get the shipment wrong? Often something is wrong.

I read several reviews from brides that deal with the chains and more often than not there was at least one tux where there was a problem. Then there is little recourse.

The place that we are using will not allow the groomsmen to leave without trying it on and checking him over thoroughly. If there is a problem they can fix it right then and there. They also provide emergency service day of. They will come to you.

Feel free to FM me if you want the name of the place.

Re: Tuxes

we have groomsmen all over - we went with a local store - Tuxedo Park - it is usally a courtesy to get measured at another tuxedo shop - they just get the card filled out and mail to shop

my fi rented from a chain for a friends wedding - the tux only fit one out of 15 of the uys properly

my fi wants the tux to fit properly

also tuxedo park allowed - gave us a gift certificate to apply instead of getting the groom free - we applied it to 4 groomsmen who are out of state

That's nice...FH already has a tux so he wouldn't need the free one.

Thanks for your suggestions! We will definitely check them out!
