Hi, we are looking to book with Twelfth Night photography for Nov 2010. We met with Dom and liked him. Does any one have any comments or price quotes good or bad? Our second choice is Duet. Thanks for your help.

I'm not familiar with Twelfth Night Photography nor can I say anything about their work. Aside from speaking for myself, you can find a lot of brides have worked with Duet. They are highly recommended for their professionalism, quality and work. Their photography & video is absolutely phenomenal! I personally worked with Duet for my wedding and had such an amazing time working their photographers & videographer. Our pics came out beautifully. And their work is just stunning. I personally like 12th night more than Duet. I just thought they were more personable and did beautiful work.
But I agree with the above poster about checking the reviews on here and I always check reviews from other sites as well (but that's just me I want to make sure I am getting the work that I really like)

lvoe love love 12th night. they did my friends wedding and i hired them right away., im using mike but dom is AMazing! i thought price wise they were very reasonable. i paid around 2k. but i didnt get any albums. i cant wait for them to take pics at my wedding! o and they send u this cute lil thank you note after you book and they gave us a starbucks giftcard! lol they really are so nice and great to work with

My friend used 12th night for her wedding...the pics were beautiful and Dom is great to work with. I was the MOH and he was really funny and had a great personality on top of being to take awesome pics!

We visited a few photographers and Duet was the frontrunner until we met with 12th Night. I personally liked 12th Night's work better (though I know of several friends and brides on here who had great experiences with Duet, I liked their work but I wasn't blown away by their work). Also, Dom was really personable and I could picture him handling my large family on that day, giving them directives, etc. I guess it's because we didn't meet the actual photographers at Duet, but I didn't get that same sense of assurance that I got from 12th Night. Duet's overall price is a little lower than 12th Night, but 12th lets you create your own package pretty much so can work w/in your budget. But I think that either wy, you can't go wrong!

These are our 2 favorites right now too! FH is leaning towards Duet and I am leaning towards 12th night - so we are at a standstill!! I found their work to be pretty similar overall and lovely, but felt more confidence in the business side of things with 12th night. I prefer working with the 'owner' rather than a sales associate. Also, when we met with Duet he mentioned that they have 60ish employees who work on albums, I just feel like it was a little less personal and have some concerns about the customer service. Price wise they are very similar, with 12th night being about $400 more. With Duet you get 2 photographers (1 you pick, 1 you do not - not sure you meet them before???) for the entire day (up to 12 hrs in the package we are looking at), but in 12th night they overlap, so you get 1 for about 5 hours, and then another comes later in the day and works the rest of the party, but they are both main photogs and you can pick which 2 you want by looking at the work and meeting with them beforehand.
Haha after writing that I'm more confused....help!

I did not meet with Duet but absolutely fell in love with the quality of work that 12th night does. I also like the fact that when I met with Dom, he showed me how well they color correct the pictures.

I've only met with 12th night and booked them right away. It's great that you can just get the pictures and that you can do what you want with them. i.e. make your own albums on shutterfly. They are so nice and reasonable, and most of all I love that Dom knew the story behind every picture. I love their approach. Mike and Vicky will be doing our wedding.

Same here, we booked with duet on the spot. We loved their work. we never met with 12th night. With duet you do meet the main photog before if you choose to do the engagement session. and you get both photogs for the same amount of time (we have both for 12 hours)

I never met with 12th Night, but that's because I also booked Duet on the spot. I fell in love with their pics online and when I went there and actually met with Eric and heard the prices and what you get with the packages I was sold. I even had enough in my budget to get albums through them which I *never* thought I'd be able to do. Good luck!!

It's a matter of personal preference. I'm booked with Twelfth Night - booked on the spot with them because they did one of my BMs weddings and the photos were GORGEOUS - that was all I needed to know. But I've also heard tons of wonderful things about Duet. I think you should meet with both if you are undecided, but I think either is a great choice. They are both highly recommended on the boards.

I went to see both Duet and 12th Night. Maybe it was just the time we went, but we did not have a good experience at 12th Night. We absolutely loves Duet when we went, they had everything we wanted, but I just wanted to make sure we looked at everything. The albums we saw at both were absolutely gorgeous, so either one you pick will be great!!

this is how i see it....
if you want to do video...and you want to do video with duet (and you liked their video), i think they have a great package price.
however, if you are planning on doing video...or you didnt like duet's video, then HANDS DOWN i would pick 12th night!!!
we booked a different videographer (JPI) so we were really focusing on photo. 12th night and duet do good work. 12th night was much more friendly and good to talk with wihtout pressuring us one way or another. they really wanted to work with our budget....
wherease duet did not work with our budget just for photo (package deal is great with video, but photo alone is expensive!).
so our decision was totally clear. we picked 12th night. had our e-pics. loved them. and cant wait for the big day!

we booked twelfth night and had Dom and Mike...both of these guys worked so hard and i know they had a lot of amazing shots...we met with Duet and loved their work but didnt like their customer service

I initially wanted Duet since we could book both photo and video with them, but I never met with Duet (they were booked for my day). Then we met with Dom at 12th Night and FH liked him right away. They were already discussing poses and possible e-photo locations before we even booked . Also, Dom was willing to work with our budget. We decided to use Mike and Geraldine, and got to meet Mike when we paid our deposit. We haven't taken our e-pics yet (still trying to lose more weight) but I can't wait.
I suggest meeting with both and deciding from there.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.
I am biased towards DUET because I am using them and LOVE our engagement pictures. They came highly recommended to us.
We also liked 12th-night.
What sealed the deal for us was turnaround time for our pictures- 12th-night takes ALOT longer to get your proofs back from what I was told. We didn't want to wait months for our proofs. I'd like to have our 'thank yous' be our holiday cards and Duet's turnaround time can be much quicker depending on the season.
